My name is Christina. Allow me to introduce myself. I attended Walla Walla University in 2001 starting out with an Elementary Education major with minors in History and Music. During my program I was given an opportunity to tutor a couple of 1st and 2nd graders in reading. I also had to tutor students in math for a different class. In 2006 I did my student teaching in the 4th grade but was unfortunately unable to finish it a month before I was done. I changed my major to History and graduated in 2007 with a B.A degree. It took me four years to decide to go back and actually finish my student teaching again. I made the decision to go back and do it in 2010, this time student teaching in the 1st and 2nd grade at a different school all together that is in the Seventh-day Adventist school system. After I finished student teaching I was able to substitute in the Adventist system without a teaching license. I have substitute taught in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. I graduated in 2011 with Elementary Education and subbed up until the time that I got married in Nov of 2012.
